12% domestic fund assets in Ecolabel funds

The Financial Market Authority (FMA) has published its annual report for 2021. Encouraging: Investments according to the guidelines of the Austrian Ecolabel for Sustainable Financial Products (UZ 49) continue to increase strongly. Almost 12 percent of Austrian fund assets are invested in UZ 49 funds.

Upward trend

According to the FMA's annual report (link), 109 funds from Austria were certified with the Austrian Ecolabel at the end of 2021. In total, Austrian investment companies already manage fund assets of 27.1 billion euros according to the guidelines of the Austrian Ecolabel for Sustainable Financial Products. This corresponds to an increase of 60 percent or 10.2 billion euros compared to the previous year - and according to the FMA, 11.7 percent of the managed fund assets of all Austrian funds. In addition, 0.8 billion euros of fund assets are managed by real estate sustainability funds.
