Demonstrate with school shopping! Parents and children pay attention to the environment and climate.

It is no longer due to the range of environmentally friendly articles on the shelves. This is also confirmed by the paper trade. This is why the Clever Shopping for Schools initiative is once again drawing greater attention to climate protection in school shopping this year. Also teachers, who prepare the school lists, can recommend in good conscience to pay attention to environmental criteria.

The Clever Shopping for Office and School initiative has been campaigning for more sustainability in school shopping since 2008. It is supported in this by the Austrian paper trade and the major chain stores in Austria. The initiative's main concern is that school supplies for children should not harm health and the environment. To make it even easier for parents and children to find these items quickly, the initiative's partner companies are drawing attention to recommended exercise books, folders, glues, pencils, erasers, calculators, coloring materials, etc. with the green UmweltTipp! label during the campaign period from June 1 to September 30. Most of these carry a government environmental seal such as the Austrian EcoLabel.

Home schooling and home office

Working from home has shifted many things to the home office. Above all, a higher consumption of paper due to printouts for school. Here's our environmental tip! Paper products with the Austrian Eco-Label are good for biodiversity and climate protection!

"Smart shopping for the school. And the environment is happy!" is an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) in cooperation with the Austrian paper trade.
