harry's home Steyr is located directly in the modern City Point shopping centre. Thanks to its ideal location on the edge of the historic old town, you can easily explore the city on foot. The bus and train station is also only a few minutes away from the hotel. The location not only allows for a comfortable and sustainable journey by public transport, but also offers the perfect starting point for excursions in the Steyr and Enns valleys. In summer, cycling enthusiasts can rent e-bikes at the hotel and reach the popular Steyrtal and Ennstal cycle paths with just a few pedals.
When booking, you have the choice: thanks to the modular system and true to the motto "Create your stay", you can choose your room from numerous room types with different amenities. All rooms have one thing in common: plenty of space! We have large rooms with walk-in wardrobes, which can even be equipped with their own kitchenette if desired, and flats with up to 2 bedrooms.
Thanks to the service point with washing machine, dryer and co., no one at harry's home has to do without freshly washed laundry, ironed shirts or a dryer. There is also a vending machine with all kinds of daily necessities, cold drinks and ready-made meals and snacks for those in-between times.
The rich breakfast offer not only impresses with its selection of regional products and honey from our own bee sponsorship, but also convinces with homemade dishes such as cakes and various spreads. In harry's living room, there is a bar for drinks and selected snacks, cosy lounge furniture, a fireplace and games for hire. On the impressive roof terrace, not only house guests but also locals enjoy the view of the beautiful city and the foothills of the Alps. The breakfast menu and bar are also available daily to locals. Meanwhile, the youngest guests can let off steam in the children's playroom with its underwater design: in addition to a wall bars, they will also find a ball pool, a Tonie box (figures can be borrowed from reception), all kinds of games and painting utensils and much more.
Our environmental performance
- Das haben wir für die Umwelt / für das Umweltzeichen bereits in einigen bzw. allen harry’s home hotels umgesetzt:
- Erneuerbare Energien: Einsatz von Photovoltaikanlagen zur Eigenerzeugung von sauberem Solarstrom und somit u. a. Warmwasser sowie zur Reduktion der CO2 -Emissionen. Die Kühlung der Räume vereinzelter Standorte erfolgt über das Grundwasser und nicht mit einer Klimaanlage.
- Ressourcenschonung: Fensterkontaktregelung zur Minimierung des Wärme-/Kältebedarfs in den Zimmern. Die eingebauten Waschtisch- und Küchenarmaturen entsprechen den Vorgaben für das Umweltzeichen mit einem Durchfluss von weniger als 6 l/min und die eingebauten Duschköpfe mit weniger als 8,5 l/min als Wassersparmaßnahme. Einführung der „nachhaltigen Zimmerreinigung“, wodurch Wasser, Energie und Reinigungsmittel eingespart werden. Einkauf von Reinigungsmitteln aus der Liste der ÖkoRein Datenbank für Bereiche wie der Hotelküche sowie Berücksichtigung von umweltfreundlichen Reinigungsmitteln bei unseren externen Partnern.
- Nachhaltige Mobilität: Förderung von E-Mobilität mit Ladeinfrastruktur an fast allen Standorten und Umstellung von 68 % der Firmenflotte auf elektrische Antriebe, was jährlich ca. 20.000 kg CO2 einspart.
- Lebensmittel und Recycling: Laufende Überprüfung und Verbesserung des Lebensmittelangebotes: regional, saisonal, biologisch. Zusammenarbeit mit der „Too Good To Go“-App und Bienenpartnerschaft zur Förderung der Biodiversität. Optimierung des konsequenten Abfalltrennsystems mit Beschriftung, Farbleitsystem und Gästeinformation im Lift sowie aktive Abfallvermeidung.
