SUSTAINABLE AND CLOSE TO NATURE: FORSTER’S NATURE RESORT IN THE STUBAI VALLEY
As a family-run four-star superior hotel, we combine warm hospitality with a deep connection to our homeland. Forster’s is far more than just a hotel: our nature resort also includes a spacious natural and flower garden, a natural swimming lake fed by our own spring, our herb farm, a fallow deer enclosure, a private chapel and the Forster Alm mountain pasture in the Pinnis Valley.
Directly in front of our hotel lies our approximately 13,000 m² natural and flower garden. Flowers, blossoming shrubs and a rich variety of plants provide valuable habitats for bees, butterflies and many other living creatures. At the same time, they create special retreats where our guests can slow down and experience nature with all their senses.
The new Forster’s – thoughtfully developed
Nature remained our guiding principle throughout the comprehensive development of our hotel. Since December 2025, Forster’s has featured 38 completely new or extensively renovated rooms and suites. In addition, our guests can still choose from traditional room categories that preserve the original character of our hotel.
Natural materials, a timeless Alpine wooden façade and many new favourite places combine tradition with contemporary lightness.
One of the new highlights is our adults-only rooftop spa “Wolke 7” for guests aged 16 and over, featuring an infinity pool, panoramic sauna, relaxation areas, a quiet room and a sunset terrace. An additional new relaxation room has also been created in our sauna village.
A stylish wine lounge, an expanded fitness area and the new panoramic dining room for guests aged 14 and over further enhance the holiday experience.
For our younger guests, the new Forster’s Forest Playhouse covering 280 m² offers plenty of space for fun, discovery and shared experiences. Older children and teenagers can enjoy their own favourite place in our new fun room, equipped with a pool table, air hockey, iWall, table football and many other entertainment options.
Clearly defined areas create space for adults seeking peace and quiet as well as for families – always surrounded by nature and the impressive Stubai mountain scenery.
Sharing knowledge of nature
Our host family and our team bring their individual experience, skills and passions into the nature resort.
During herb tours, herb walks and workshops, our herb expert Sabine shares fascinating knowledge about native herbs, wild plants and their uses.
Our herb farm is located just around 180 metres from the hotel. More than 1,000 different varieties of organically grown Tyrolean herbs and wild plants thrive there in the pure Stubai mountain air. Many of them are also used in our kitchen.
The herb farm is a special place where traditional knowledge is preserved, shared and combined with new insights. A variety of workshops and talks invite our guests to discover the power and diversity of the local natural world.
Through guided hikes, animal feeding sessions and other experiences included in our weekly programme, we also aim to introduce our guests to the nature, culture and traditions of the Stubai Valley in a personal and authentic way.
Regional diversity based on the R50 principle
We want our guests to discover the Stubai Valley through its cuisine as well. That is why, wherever possible, we shape our culinary offering according to the R50 principle.
Many ingredients and traditional specialities come from within a radius of 50 kilometres around Forster’s. We work closely with farmers, producers, craftspeople and other partners from the region. Home-grown herbs, homemade delicacies and selected regional products bring the flavours of our homeland to the table, from breakfast through to the evening menu.
In this way, we combine culinary enjoyment with short transport routes, personal partnerships and the sustainable strengthening of the regional economy.
