Here you can enjoy plain but tasty fare. Where possible, we use produce from the closest surroundings. Bread is baked at the hut. Following a fire in 1985, the Hochschoberhütte that dates back to 1921 was rebuilt entirely in wood. A tiled stove in the lounge makes a cosy atmosphere. The lounge also has floor heating. As all mountain refuges of the Austrian Alpine Association in this category, this mountain hut is entirely non-smoking.
