Our asset management is based on a sustainable investment philosophy with over 30 years of experience.As a founding signatory of the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB)1, the Bank is strengthening its efforts to align itself with the Paris Agreement, as well as the UN SustainableDevelopment Goals ( SDGs). The Bank was among the first Swiss financial institutions to initiate reporting on the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)1. In May 2020, the Corporate Sustainability Board published a Climate Pledge for J. Safra Sarasin Asset Management, seeking a carbon neutral outcome by 2035. In September 2020, the Bank was the first Swiss institution to sign the Finance

>Öffentliches Klimaversprechen März 2020: Das J. Safra Sarasin Sustainable Asset Management Klimaversprechen zielt auf ein kohlenstoffneutrales Ergebnis in den verwalteten Vermögen bis 2035.
>Die Bank J. Safra Sarasin ist seit über 10 Jahren Gründungsmitglied der Schweizer Klimastiftung.
>Die Bank hat ein Massnahmenprogramm zur Erhöhung der Energie- und Ressourceneffizienz, zur Reduktion des Energieverbrauchs und der CO2 Ausstösse implementiert.
>Seit 2013 nimmt die Bank J. Safra Sarasin an einem Energieeffizienzprogramm teil und hat sich in Zusammenarbeit mit der Energie-Agentur der Wirtschaft (EnAW) anhand festgelegter Ziele in der Schweiz zur Senkung ihres CO2 Ausstosses bis 2022 verpflichtet. Erreicht werden diese Ziele durch jährliche Energieeffizienzmassnahmen und durch den Bezug von erneuerbaren Energien. Zusammen mit der EnAW werden die jährlich durchgeführten Massnahmen und ihre Wirkung regelmässig überwacht.
>Als Pionierin in Sachen Umweltschutz hat die Bank bereits 1993 mit der eigenen Fotovoltaikanlage auf dem Dach des Hauptsitzes in Basel ein Zeichen für erneuerbare Energien gesetzt.
>2019 / 2020 Modernisierung der IT Infrastrukur durch Umstellung auf energiesparende Geräte und Umstellung auf LED Lichtquellen.
>Ökologisches Auflagenmanagement: zahlreiche Publikationen werden primär in elektronischer Form veröffentlicht und Interessenten nur auf Wunsch in Papierform zugestellt.
>Active Ownership als ein wichtiges Tool im ESG Prozess.

Global Climate 2035 - Rezertifizierung 2026
The JSS Sustainable Equity – Global Climate 2035 fund is an actively managed global equity fund that invests in companies that contribute to achieving the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement or benefit from the global climate transformation. The investment policy focuses both on companies that significantly reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions and on providers of decarbonization solutions (e.g., energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energies). Security selection is based on fundamental analysis incorporating quantitative ESG and climate criteria, in particular temperature pathways and green revenues.
Green Planet - Rezertifizierung 2026
Green Planet is an actively managed sustainable equity strategy by J. Safra Sarasin that specifically invests in companies whose products and services make a measurable contribution to environmental and climate protection. The focus is on so-called Green Champions, for example in the areas of energy transition, energy efficiency, circular economy, and resource conservation. The selection of securities is based on the in-house Sustainability Matrix, combined with clear exclusion criteria (e.g., fossil fuels, armaments, tobacco). The goal is to combine long-term capital growth with a positive ecological impact.
