Protecting the environment more relevant than ever

Responsibility for people and the environment is very important to us. That's why Athesia Druck, and therefore our production, is powered by 100% green energy. Due to new technology, no alcohol (IPA) is used in offset printing. We have our own deep wells for machine and room cooling. 5 heat pumps are responsible for heating and hot water preparation.

Following the introduction of the Austrian Ecolabel, the materials used have now also been tested and checked for their environmental compatibility.

We have nature to thank for the elementary raw material on which every printing business is based: paper. Our FSC®C010042 and PEFC/18-31-166 certifications guarantee the use of materials from sustainable forestry from an ecological, economic and social point of view. FSC-COC or PEFC-COC certification confirms that FSC-certified material remains identifiable along the entire chain from the forest to the end product and can be separated from uncertified material.

Reduction of Co2 an important goal

To ensure that the CO2 balance of a product is not increased by deliveries to other production sites, in most cases all processing steps are carried out directly in-house. In addition, ClimatePartner, one of the leading solution providers for companies in climate protection, supports us in the implementation of climate-neutral print products: from the calculation and offsetting of CO2 emissions to the clear labelling of products with ID numbers and labels. Furthermore, when purchasing new machines, attention is paid to optimising energy efficiency.
