The IAEA Staff Association Ball is a unique breathtaking celebration, displaying a kaleidoscope of diversity in music & dance culture, national costumes, food and drinks, all presented in the backdrop of the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the traditional home of the Viennese Ball culture. All proceeds of the Ball are donated to Charity.

The IAEA Staff Association Ball has become an integral part of the Vienna's traditional ball calendar. The first IAEA Staff Ball was organised in 1961 and since then has been held on a regular basis, sometimes jointly with UNIDO and UNOV. For the past 20 years it has been our very own IAEA Staff Association Ball.

According to the United Nations, environmental defenders are persons “defending environmental rights, including constitutional rights to a clean and healthy environment”. Environmental Defenders play a crucial role in the global fight against the climate and biodiversity crisis. However, harassment and even threats against environmental defenders present an issue of growing concern across the globe. This has led to new regulatory initiatives, such as the European Commission’s proposal for an Anti-SLAPP-Directive or the establishment of a “Rapid Response Mechanism for Environmental Defenders” under the Aarhus Convention. Our conference takes these developments as a point of departure to reflect on the multifaceted role the law plays for defending environmental rights. The panelists will present legal-doctrinal analyses of the relevant legal framework as well as socio-legal perspectives on environmental defenders and their perception of the law. Overall, we aim to contribute to future legal developments in the field and to a better understanding of the impact and social functions of law.

Representatives from the 168 Member States of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will gather at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) on 26 September for the start of the annual five-day IAEA General Conference to discuss major topics on the IAEA’s agenda. It is the 60th such meeting since the IAEA was established in 1957.
 

The 67th Annual Regular Session of the IAEA General Conference is being held from 25 to 29 September 2022 at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna, Austria, where high-ranking officials and representatives from IAEA Member States will consider a range of issues

Climate change is one of the most important issues the world is facing today. Nuclear power can make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, while at the same time fulfilling the increasing energy demands of a growing world population and supporting global sustainable development. Nuclear power has considerable potential to meet the climate change challenge by providing electricity, district heating and high temperature heat for industrial processes, generated with almost zero greenhouse gas emissions.

To reach climate change goals, including those established in the Paris Agreement, a significantly greater deployment of low carbon energy technologies is needed. Nuclear power has the potential to play a significant role in achieving these mitigation goals and, as a large scale, reliable, dispatchable, and concentrated source of energy, can also contribute to broader economic and social dimensions of sustainable development. The potential role of nuclear power has been recently addressed also in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5ºC, released in October 2018.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has an important role in improving the understanding of the potential contribution of nuclear power by providing interested Member States with guidance and assistance for deploying safe, secure and safeguarded nuclear technology and in formulating national energy strategies and policies. Supporting Member States in the attainment of the United Nations climate change targets and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is thus closely aligned with the statutory objective of the IAEA — to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy to peace, health and prosperity throughout the world.

To this end, the IAEA is organizing the 2019 International Conference on Climate Change and the Role of Nuclear Power in Vienna from 7 to 11 October 2019. The conference will provide a platform to discuss objectively the scientific and technical aspects of the role of nuclear power in combating climate change. Topics covered in the conference will include: challenges and opportunities for existing nuclear power plants with respect to their continuous contribution to the avoidance of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions; factors necessary to support high rates of deployment, including for advanced nuclear power technologies, consistent with achieving the climate change goals, including those established in the Paris Agreement, and SDGs, namely SDG 7 (Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all) and SDG 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts); and the prospects for synergies between nuclear power and other low carbon energy sources.

The major thematic areas of the conference will comprise the mitigation challenge and implications for the power sector, including the role of nuclear power, stimulated by the engagement of Member States and various international organizations to improve the understanding of the relationship between nuclear and climate. The discussion will be guided by the following questions: “Where are we?”; “Where do we want to go?”; and “How do we get there?”. The broad themes will tackle the nuclear power’s interim and long term contributions (at present, until 2030, and beyond 2030) targeting future innovative applications, opportunities to address common challenges, and strategic and cross-cutting issues relating to public perception, regulations, markets and finance.

The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss mainstreaming nuclear power as a low carbon energy source and its role in combating climate change. 

The purpose of the event is to provide the international transport community with a platform to discuss opportunities, challenges and key enablers for the safe and secure transport of nuclear and radioactive material. The conference will cover legal and regulatory aspects, transport package design, operations, commercial and supply chain considerations, and innovative and/or new technologies that have the potential to impact transport safety and security. Background and Objective 

The IAEA will convene an international conference during the week of 19 to 23 June 2023 to provide Member States with a forum to discuss the evolving nature of computer security in the nuclear field, including the mitigation capabilities and related tools, as the vulnerability to the theft and/or manipulation of sensitive information and computer systems to cyber-attacks is widely recognized.

The conference will provide a place for competent authorities, operators, system and security integrators and vendors, and other relevant entities engaged in computer security activities related to nuclear security or safety to exchange information and foster international cooperation in computer security as an integral element of nuclear security and safety through:

• presentations and discussion on nuclear security and safety efforts to date within the area of computer security (including achievements, experience gained and lessons learned)
• review of emerging trends in computer security and areas that need to be addressed
• consideration of possible objectives and priorities for nuclear security or safety efforts in computer security, and of how current approaches may evolve to address these and meet future challenges
• consideration of how the IAEA and other international organizations can contribute to international cooperation in this important area.

Consistent with the objectives, the overall themes for the conference will be:

Outcomes 

The conference will contribute to raise awareness of the threat of cyber-attacks, and of their potential impact on nuclear security and safety, and on mitigation techniques to protect computer-based systems and facilities. It will foster international cooperation as well as bring together experts and policy-makers to promote the exchange of information and experiences in protecting against cyber-attacks. Furthermore, it will help to improve and guide future IAEA activities in the area of information and computer security consistent with the Nuclear Security Plan 2022–2025.

The ‘International Symposium on Managing Land and Water for Climate-Smart Agriculture’ aims to facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge among soil, water and environment professionals from developed and developing countries to advance the understanding, collaboration and capabilities to respond to the impact of climate change in a rapidly changing global environment. It will also draw on lessons learnt, current status, with a focus on new development of nuclear and isotopic techniques to enhance the resilience of livelihoods to threats and crises that impact agriculture and food security, such as emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs), climate change and nuclear or radiological emergencies.

Objectives

The objectives of the symposium are to:

• review recent development of nuclear, isotopic and related techniques to improve land and water management practices under changing climate and to minimize the impact of radiological emergences on crop production;
• provide information on the development of tools and technology packages to build soil resilience, adapt farming practices to the impact of climate change, as well as to nuclear or radiological emergencies; and
• identify knowledge gaps, research needs and new opportunities to develop climate-smart agricultural practices to build capacities and transfer of technologies to Member States.

Nuclear knowledge management and human resources development present both challenges and opportunities for the nuclear industry due to its unique nature and evolving global landscape. Opportunities arise in addressing these challenges and enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of the nuclear operations.

An appropriate knowledgeable and experienced multigenerational workforce, with strong safety and security culture, is required by the long lifecycle of a nuclear facility. One of the major challenges is, therefore, the preservation and transfer of knowledge from experienced professionals to the subsequent generations. When a significant portion of the nuclear workforce approaches retirement, there is a risk of losing critical expertise and institutional memory. The capture, documentation, and transfer of this knowledge is needed to ensure continuity and prevent knowledge gaps.

The IAEA as a global hub for the exchange, dissemination and preservation of nuclear knowledge and information, has previously organized six International Conferences on Nuclear Knowledge Management (NKM) and Human Resources Development (HRD), including education and training and capacity building.

The conference will provide a forum for ministers, policymakers, senior officials and nuclear security experts to formulate and exchange views on experiences and achievements, current approaches, future directions and priorities for nuclear security.

ICONS 2024 will provide a global forum for ministers, policymakers, senior officials and nuclear security experts to discuss the future of nuclear security worldwide, whilst providing opportunities for exchanging information, sharing best practices and fostering international cooperation.

The conference will:

• Raise awareness of a wide range of nuclear security topics to maintain and further strengthen national nuclear security regimes for nuclear and other radioactive materials and associated facilities used for peaceful purposes, as well as international cooperation in strengthening nuclear security globally;
• Review nuclear security experiences and achievements, current approaches and trends, and highlight areas that may need more focused attention including technological dimensions;
• Promote IAEA nuclear security guidance, and experience of States in their application, including through peer reviews, advisory services and capacity building;
• Promote the sharing of information and good practices in nuclear security while protecting sensitive information;
• Reaffirm and support the central role of the IAEA in strengthening nuclear security globally and in leading the coordination of international activities in the field of nuclear security, while avoiding duplication and overlap;
• Highlight and promote the IAEA’s efforts to promote adherence to relevant international legally binding instruments and commitment to the legally non-binding instruments; and
• Discuss further enhancements of IAEA nuclear security activities and their sustainability.

The purpose of this conference is to provide an international forum to take stock of the progress and discuss the opportunities, challenges and enabling conditions for the accelerated development and safe and secure deployment of SMRs among all possible stakeholders for SMRs.

The primary objectives are to:

• Present and discuss the up-to-date design and technology of SMRs and microreactors and their associated fuel cycle approaches;
• Address the safety, security, and safeguards approaches specific to SMRs;  
• Discuss legislative and regulatory frameworks and existing practices in regulation of SMR design, development, and deployment.
• Consider ways to facilitate the near-term deployment of SMRs, including financing and contracting approaches;
• Discuss the status of national nuclear energy programmes in the Member States by highlighting technical and non-technical expectations and end-user requirements to SMRs design; and
• Share information on recent Member State and IAEA initiatives relating to SMR development and deployment, including NHSI, and foster international collaboration among all stakeholders.

It is expected that this conference will help catalyse current activities in Member States and enhance prospects of safe and secure SMR deployment that will offer options for achieving clean energy transition and energy supply security in both embarking and expanding countries.

The “International Conference on the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme: Sixty Years and Beyond – Contributing to Development” highlights the achievements of the IAEA’s technical cooperation programme and its impact on socio-economic development in Member States over the last six decades. The conference also promotes debate and dialogue on the opportunities provided by partnerships in this area, and explores innovative means to further improve the technical cooperation programme.

The safe, secure and sustainable management of spent fuel from nuclear power reactors is key to the sustainable utilization of nuclear energy and covers many technological aspects related to the storage, transportation, recycling and disposal of spent fuel and high level waste generated from spent fuel reprocessing.

The sustainability of nuclear energy involves the preservation of natural resources and the minimization of generated wastes. Currently, in some countries, the uranium and plutonium remaining in spent fuel are recycled as mixed oxide (MOX) fuel in thermal reactors, saving natural uranium resources. Future advanced fuel cycles based on next generation reactors aim at making nuclear energy almost independent of uranium natural resources and will dramatically reduce the generated wastes.

The purpose of the event is to provide the international transport community with a platform to discuss opportunities, challenges and key enablers for the safe and secure transport of nuclear and radioactive material. The conference will cover legal and regulatory aspects, transport package design, operations, commercial and supply chain considerations, and innovative and/or new technologies that have the potential to impact transport safety and security. The Conference’s interactive format of expert panels, topical sessions, technology demonstrations and networking opportunities will enhance global stakeholder connectivity and explore these topical issues.

The purpose of the conference is to foster the exchange of experiences and anticipated future developments related to establishing and maintaining a high level of safety and security of radioactive sources throughout their life cycle.
The conference will provide a forum to:

• Exchange information on meeting current challenges relating to the safety and security of radioactive sources, including lessons learned during the COVID 19 pandemic;
• Increase awareness about and exchange experience regarding preparedness for and response to radiological incidents and emergencies involving radioactive sources;

• Promote IAEA safety standards and nuclear security guidance, and their use by States;
• Promote the universalization and use of relevant legally binding (e.g., Joint Convention of the Safety Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management – “Joint Convention", Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear Accident or Radiological Emergency – “Assistance Convention”, and International Convention on the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism – ICSANT) and non-legally binding (e.g., Code of Conduct on the Safety and Security of Radioactive Sources and its supplementary Guidance) international instruments.

The International Digital Security Forum (IDSF) seeks to bring together international and national leadership and stakeholders for information exchange and collaboration under the motto "Secure digitalisation for a safe, green and sustainable future". The goal is to build collective knowledge of lessons learned and to build partnership for pandemic and major event response and mitigation.

IDSF is organized by AIT in partnership with the Austrian Security and Defence Industries Group of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and with the support of the Austrian Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Interior, the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairsand the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism, responsible of the Austrian Security Research programme KIRAS, the Kuratorium Sicheres Österreich (KSÖ) as well as in cooperation with international partner organizations.

The purpose of the event is to explore and discuss the potential deployment of floating nuclear power plants (FNPPs) to enhance the contribution of nuclear energy to achieving net zero carbon emissions. It will focus on different aspects of FNPPs, ranging from their national deployment in territorial waters to more challenging applications that require the transport of fuelled FNPPs to other countries or their deployment in international waters.

The purpose of the event is to bring together experts and stakeholders in food safety and food control systems to consider the protection of the integrity of the food supply chain and measures to improve its resilience to food security challenges such as the impacts of climate change, foodborne diseases, food fraud, antimicrobial resistance. It also includes methods to address external factors that may disrupt food control systems (e.g. caused by pandemics, conflict or other catastrophic events). Contemporary and novel applications of nuclear and complementary techniques will be presented, and future perspectives and opportunities discussed. The event will provide a forum for networking, facilitate a broad understanding of food safety and food control systems, and promote the peaceful use of nuclear technologies.

The 15th symposium will aim to facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge among water and environment professionals from developed and developing countries in order to advance the understanding, collaboration and capabilities to respond to the rapidly changing global environment.

The major goal of the symposium is to provide a forum at which advances in radiation dosimetry, radiation medicine, radiation protection and associated standards made over the last decade can be disseminated and scientific knowledge exchanged. It will cover all specialties in radiation medicine and radiation protection, with a specific focus on those areas where the standardization of dosimetry has improved in recent years (advanced radiotherapy, diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and audits). It will also summarize the present status of, and outline future trends in, medical radiation dosimetry and identify possible areas for improvement. The conclusions and summaries from the symposium should lead to the formulation of recommendations for the scientific community.

Progress in nuclear medicine has been always tightly linked to the development of new radiopharmaceuticals and efficient production of relevant radioisotopes. The use of radiopharmaceuticals is an important tool for better understanding of human diseases and developing effective treatments. The availability of new radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals may generate unprecedented solutions to clinical problems by providing better diagnosis and more efficient therapies.

Impressive progress has been made recently in the radioisotope production technologies owing to the introduction of high-energy and high-current cyclotrons and the growing interest in the use of linear accelerators for radioisotope production. This has allowed broader access to several new radionuclides, including gallium-68, copper-64 and zirconium-89. Development of high power electron linacs resulted in availability of theranostic beta emitters such as scandium-47 and copper-67.  Alternative, accelerator-based production methods of technetium-99m, which remains the most widely used diagnostic radionuclide, are also being developed using both electron and proton accelerators.

Special attention has been recently given to α-emitting radionuclides for in-vivo therapy. A few years ago, the first α-emitting radiopharmaceutical, Xofigo, (pharmaceutical-grade radium-223 dichloride solution) has been approved by the US FDA for cancer treatment. Many other α-emitting radiopharmaceuticals based on astatine-211, bismuth-212, bismuth-213, actinium-225, radium-223, lead-212, thorium-227 and terbium-149, are currently being developed. However, demand for these α-emitting radionuclides significantly exceed their supply. Numerous research groups worldwide are working on efficient production of these much sought after α-emitters.

The field of radiopharmaceuticals has witnessed continuous evolution thanks to the immense contributions of scientists from diverse disciplines such as radiochemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology and pharmacology. Several milestones can be cited in the trajectory of this growth, which include continuing development of technetium-99m radiopharmaceuticals, automated synthesis of fluorine-18 labelled compounds, radiopharmaceuticals labelled with generator eluted gallium-68, labelled peptides and monoclonal antibodies for accurate diagnosis and treatment of tumours. The concept of theranostic radioisotopes, that combines the diagnosis and therapy properties of one radioisotope or a pair of similar radioisotopes, may provide an attractive paradigm for future development of medical applications of radionuclides. Biomolecules developed for specific molecular target and labelled with theranostic radionuclides provide clinically significant information for diagnosis, suitability of radionuclide therapy, dosimetry and post therapy planning, making personalised medicine a reality.

The International Symposium on Trends in Radiopharmaceuticals, ISTR-2023, will provide scientists and other professionals working in the production of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals with an international forum to discuss the most recent developments and challenges in the field. Topics covered during the event, including the development, production and uses of diagnostic, therapeutic and theranostic radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, as well as regulatory and licensing issues. Education, certification and training methodologies will also be addressed. We expect participants from academia, industry, healthcare institutions, regulatory bodies and other organizations. 

The long-term sustainability of nuclear power will depend on, among several factors, an adequate supply of uranium resources that can be delivered to the marketplace at competitive prices.

The purpose of the event is to analyse supply–demand scenarios and to present and discuss the latest developments and innovations in uranium geology, exploration, mining, processing and site decommissioning to ensure a sustainable supply of uranium for use as nuclear fuel. The presentations and discussions at URAM-2023 will:

• Lead to a better understanding of the adequacy of uranium supply to meet future demand;
• Provide information on geological models, new exploration concepts, knowledge and technologies that may potentially result in the discovery and development of new uranium resources;
• Describe new mining and processing technologies that have the potential to support a more efficient and sustainable development of uranium and related resources; and
• Consider the environmental compatibility of uranium production and the overall effectiveness of progressive waste management, decommissioning and remediation of production facilities.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing the first International Conference on Accelerators for Research and Development: From Good Practices Towards Socioeconomics Impact. Such a Conference was long awaited by the Member States to address important needs in our high-tech oriented society, where particle accelerators have become indispensable.

Nowadays, more than 20,000 particle accelerators operating world-wide are used for commercial applications, either in the medical (radiotherapy treatments) or industrial sectors (materials modification). Although only a few hundred accelerators are used for scientific research, the knowledge and technological spin-offs gained from these facilities drive the development of commercial applications and support the research and development needs of a diverse range of fields, including fundamental and applied science. The current trend is to utilize accelerators in a dedicated way to support specific high technology application areas. The main demand from researchers is for high quality X ray, neutron, and ion beams to engage in cutting-edge research in energy, food and agriculture, environment, biology, medicine, forensics, cultural heritage, materials science, and many other areas. Accelerators also play a key role in capacity building, provide education and training both in academia and industry, contributing to the solution of problems of modern society and to increased competitiveness of local economies.

Numerous innovations and accomplishments in the field of accelerator-based research and development as well as diverse applications have been already acknowledged, however it is now time to take a comprehensive look at their socioeconomic impact, assess their sustainability and ability to meet future challenges. The IAEA has been implementing programmatic activities that provide interested Member States with platforms to exchange information on new trends and applications in accelerator-based nuclear science and technology. Indeed, the IAEA successfully implements a few programmes with direct relevance to use of particle accelerators such as Nuclear Science, Radioisotope Production and Radiation Technology, Human Health and Environment. In addition, direct support and assistance to the Member States in the area of accelerator-based research and applications is also provided through the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme.

Purpose and Objectives

Das Vienna Experts Club Aufbautraining richtet sich an die Mitglieder des Vienna Experts Clubs - einer Initiative des WienTourismus - und präsentiert Neuigkeiten und Aktuelles aus der Tourismusdestination Wien.

Aufbautraining 2018: Vienna Experts Club – Unter dem Motto „Sei deiner Zeit voraus“ wollen wir in das Themenjahr 2018 „Schönheit und Abgrund“ starten.

Das Vienna Experts Club Aufbautraining richtet sich an die Mitglieder des Vienna Experts Clubs - einer Initiative des WienTourismus - und präsentiert Neuigkeiten und Aktuelles aus der Tourismusdestination Wien.

Vertreter/innen der Politik, Tourismusverbände und Privatwirtschaft aus 15 Regionen und Gemeinden aus Österreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz nahmen an der Tagung „Tourismus als Partner für lebenswerte Regionen“ anlässlich des Welttourimustages (WTT) mit dem Thema „Nachhaltiger Tourismus - ein Werkzeug für Entwicklung“  am 27. September 2017 teil.

Das Programm, das vom Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft in Zusammenarbeit mit der MODUL University Vienna erstellt wurde, beinhaltete Impulsvorträge und Diskussionen zu den Erfolgsfaktoren nachhaltiger Tourismusdestinationen und den Chancen und Herausforderungen nachhaltiger Tourismusentwicklung.

Eröffnet wurde die Tagung durch Vertreter/innen des österreichischen und deutschen Wirtschaftsministeriums sowie des Schweizer Staatssekretariats für Wirtschaft.

Um möglichst viele Dimensionen der Nachhaltiger Tourismusentwicklung beleuchten zu können wurden Panelteilnehmer/innen - Vertreter/-innen von Destinationen mit herausragenden Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen - zu den Themen Nachhaltiges Wachstum (Beschäftigung, Infrastruktur, Innovation), Ressourceneffizienz, Umweltschutz und Klimawandel sowie Kulturgüter und Naturerbe auf das Podium gebeten.

Mehrere durch Experten moderierte Diskussionsrunden luden anschließend alle Teilnehmer/innen zu einem intensiven Austausch im kleinem Kreis ein. Durch die bunte Zusammensetzung der Regionen und Gemeinden - von der Ostsee bis an die Schweizerisch-italienische Grenze - konnten die unterschiedlichen Herausforderungen und Herangehensweisen auf Destinationsebene beleuchtet werden.

Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung standen das voneinander Lernen und das Verständnis für unterschiedliche Interessen.

Einmal im Jahr organisiert der WienTourimus in seiner Rolle als Repräsentant der lokalen Tourismusinteressen die Wiener Tourismuskonferenz. An dieser Branchenveranstaltung nehmen in diesem Jahr ca. 650 TeilnehmerInnen aus der Wiener Tourismuswirtschaft sowie unterschiedliche Stakeholder teil.

Jährlich werden die BesucherInnen über aktuelle wirtschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen & Trends, die Einfluss auf die Tourismuswirtschaft haben, informiert. Ziel ist es, mit unüblichen Perspektiven und vor allem branchenübergreifenden Sichtweisen neue Impulse für zukünftige Handlungen zu setzen, positiv zu provozieren und zum Nachdenken anzuregen. In diesem Jahr wird außerdem die neue Destinationsstrategie 2025 vorgestellt.

Die diesjährige Tourismuskonferenz steht unter dem Motto „People.Planet.Profit“ und beleuchtet aktuelle Herausforderungen und Chancen, um als Metropole im internationalen Wettbewerb zu bestehen. Ein wesentlicher Aspekt der touristischen Destinationsentwicklung ist ein lebenswertes und gleichzeitig florierendes städtisches Leben für BesucherInnen und BewohnerInnen der Stadt zu gewährleisten.

Die zwei hochkarätige Referenten Daniel Sieberg (Google, New York City) und Michel Couturier (Marketing Challenges International, New York City) beleuchten die Stärken, Schwächen, Chancen und Risiken von Wien als internationale Tourismusdestination.

Zu der Veranstaltung werden ca. 500 Personen erwartet. TeilnehmerInnen werden hauptsächliche aus der Wiener Tourismus, Hotelerie und Meetings Industry sein.

Die Wiener Tourismuskonferenz - initiiert von WienTourismus - ist eine jährliche Informationsveranstaltung für die Wiener Tourismusbranche und stellt eine Plattform für erfolgreiche Tourismusentwicklung in Wien dar.

Erfolgreiche Destinationen bieten ihren Gästen einzigartige emotionale Erlebnisse - vor, während und nach der Reise. Unter dem Motto "Vienna.Visitor.Value" beleuchtet die diesjährige Tourismuskonferenz, wie solche Erlebnisse geschaffen werden und mit welchen Methoden ein Mehrwert für BesucherInnen kreiert werden können.

Die Wiener Tourismuskonferenz ist eine jährliche Informationsveranstaltung für die Wiener Tourismusbranche, initiiert von WienTourismus - dem Wiener Tourismusverband - und stellt eine Plattform für erfolgreiche Tourismusentwicklung in Wien dar.

Der Leitgedanke des Wiener Tourismusjahres 2018 lautet: „Sei Deiner Zeit voraus!“. Inspiration und Innovationen der Wiener Moderne werden ins Hier und Heute transferiert durch visionäre Vorträge mit spannenden Themen.

Die EMAS Konferenz findet jährlich statt. Die Konferenz dient als Plattform für umweltorientierte Unternehmen. Der Focus der heurigen Konferenz ist auf Zero Emissions im Kontext mit Elektromobilität gerichtet.
