The Climate Alliance Austria is active in each federal state with eight regional offices (Vienna / Burgenland, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Carinthia, Tyrol and Vorarlberg). The Climate Alliance Austria can be joined by federal states, municipalities, businesses and educational institutions.

We are a global partnership for the protection of the global climate. The Climate Alliance Austria was founded in 1990 in Frankfurt and connects more than 1,600 municipalities and cities in 24 European countries with indigenous peoples of South America. Within the framework of this partnership, the Climate Alliance Austria has supported indigenous peoples since 1993 on the Upper Rio Negro, in the extreme northwest of Brazil.

The core of our work in Austria is information and awareness raising, networking and training of climate alliance partners as well as the implementation of projects and campaigns in the areas of:
