New EU project FORMARTE: European Heritage (Art & Culture), Digital Competences & Environment
European heritage (arts and culture), digital competencies and environment are the main axes of a new ERASMUS + project under the umbrella of its "Cooperation for Innovation" program.
The FORM-ARTE + project aims to validate a learning model that seeks to promote the themes and opportunities of art and culture and the environment in vocational training through European cultural heritage, integrating digital competences in particular.
Project partners from Spain, Portugal, Italy and Austria will implement new learning models and materials for vocational training.
The European project is coordinated by the Spanish organization GRUPO SAN VALERO.
Partners are:
- FUNDAÇAO DA JUVENTUDE (Portugal)
- Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (Austria)
- PARQUE TECNOLÓGICO ENVIRONMENT PARK (Italy)
In the course of the project, suitable teaching material will be prepared and special teaching approaches will be implemented. In particular, the project aims to validate an innovative learning model (Service Learning Methodology) that integrates European cultural heritage, environment and digital skills into professional training courses. As a motivating and representative element of the art and culture of European heritage, the Way of St. James, the first European route to be recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage, was used as a multifaceted educational resource. The Way of Saint James will also be the geographical territory where this new approach will be applied, which can later be extended to other European heritage tourist routes.
Because of the constraints, the work of the FORM-ARTE + project will continue at a distance and an online coordination meeting will be organized.
During the meeting, the project website was also presented, which is available in 5 languages at the link www.form-arteplus.eu. The project also includes the development of an e-learning platform in 5 languages, two pilot actions to validate the new methodological approach and some seminars in the four states supported by a mobile classroom. In the current phase of development, we have produced a training guide for trainers and a manual for vocational students. The documents will be made available to participating schools via an e-learning platform starting in February. We are looking forward to the interesting and exciting service-learning projects.
