The Landesstudio Tirol is located in Innsbruck on Rennweg 14. The building was designed according to the basic pattern of all ORF Landesstudios by Gustav Peichl and opened on 13 October 1972.

In addition to the local radio program, two daily television broadcasts are produced in Tyrol: “Tirol heute” and “”Südtirol heute”. The Landesstudio Tirol also produces the only live folk music wish program in German-speaking countries: Mei liabste Weis with Franz Posch, which is broadcasted three times a year from various locations throughout Austria.

 

Mei liabste Weis – Absam, Tyrol

For the first time, ORF Tyrol has broadcasted a live program on television in accordance with the guidelines of a "green production". The live broadcast "Mei liabste Weis" with Franz Posch on Saturday 29.6. at 20.15 on ORF 2 from the country inn Bogner in Absam / Tyrol was produced according to strict criteria particularly sustainable and environment-friendly. The program "Mei liabste Weis" began its successful history 31 years ago in this same inn Bogner. The program presents musicians of the "real folk music" and is suitable with its unadulterated character especially for the eco-label.
